Located in Presicce-Acquarica, in the heart of Salento, Masseria Scafazzi is surrounded by the peace of the Apulian countryside, approximately 30 km from the Regional Natural Park of Isola di Sant’Andrea and the coastline of Punta Pizzo.

The history of Scafazzi dates back to the 17th century, when the property was originally built as a small shelter for flocks grazing in the surrounding countryside. In the 18th century, the owner at the time, a wealthy local nobleman, was drawn to the healthy climate, the iodine carried from the sea and the fresh air produced by around 70 hectares of woodland and Mediterranean scrub across the Serre Salentine. He therefore decided to build his residence here.

This marked the birth of Scafazzi Agriturismo Relais, an authentic expression of local history and architecture. Even today, the masseria preserves its centuries-old charm, offering guests an evocative experience among ancient stone walls, nature and spaces rich in character.

Today, the property is owned by the Stefanizzi family, whose roots are deeply connected to Salento’s rural traditions, nature and a healthy, balanced way of life. These values inspired the restoration project that transformed an ancient ruin into a welcoming masseria and agriturismo, designed for those seeking a holiday defined by peace, authenticity and good food.
